Former SC tail back Emmanuel Moody made it clear on Thursday why he is not Trojan material when he told reporters:
“USC is all about the rotation, getting everybody sharing time. I want to be a featured back.”
Moody visited defending national champion Florida on Thursday in an effort to try and decide where it is he will transfer.
The 6’1″ 205lb sophomore from Texas was the second leading rusher for the Trojans this past
season as a freshman. He gained 458 yards on 79 carries last season. He missed the final four games of the USC season due to a sprained ankle. He entered camp this year as one of 10 backs vying for playing time, which is presumably one of the things that sparked his comment and showed Trojan fans that Moody does not understand the dynamics of the USC Football Program.
There is no I in Trojans, Emmanuel. Nor is there an I in Gators–Urban Meyer would give the kicker the ball to run back if he could, so fond of spreading out his backfield weapons is he.
Moody also visited UNC and has planned trips to Oklahoma State and Texas on his schedule. Best of luck wherever you end up, Emmanuel.
-Your Gridiron Goddess, pictured with USC’s BCS trophy, something Moody won’t get to be a part of. heh heh heh

Yes, you would have thought Moody would have already understood the competition for positions, waiting your turn, earning your way, etc. which has been the foundation of the Trojan program’s success. Can only assume he sized up the competition and decided he was in over his head.
I speak for Florida fans. We don’t want him either.
Why attend USC if you’re afraid to compete? Go carry the rock of SDSU or something.
From the ESPN article
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2989999
“Moody, who rushed for 459 yards and two touchdowns, averaging a team-high 5.8 yards per rush last season, left USC because of the school’s depth at his position, citing a “business decision.”
Business decision? The stupidity of him citing his transfer as a business decision, is borderline obscene.
The other way to look at it is simply this: Moody knew he didn’t fit in and he took himself out of the equation. Why rip him on the way out when you kissed his ass on the way in? The #1 most annoying thing about sports fans is when they trash an outgoing player.
Just wish Moody success wherever he ends up and don’t worry about him anymore. He did your favorite program a favor by opting out and not causing a season-long issue.
The #1 most annoying thing about sports fans is when they insult other fans instead of joining in on the fun of ripping an outgoing player.
Also, what makes you think he “didn’t fit in”, or that he would create a “season long issue”?
The #2 most annoying thing about sports fans is when they make sweeping generalization about subjects they only pretend to understand.
It was announced that Moody was indeed transferring to Florida today. Omar you better hook him up with a pair of those jorts you saw on my blog and wanted.
Look, here comes a fellow gator fan now! http://www.citizencrane.com/gwjs23.jpg
Moody has to sit out an year. That will give him plenty of time to learn the local culture and get used to the 95 degree, 95% humidity weather here in the swamp. I imagine it’s quite a change from SoCal.
The question for all Florida running backs these days is, “Do you like white women?”

Thanks for sending us your misfits, USC.
Those jorts are “retro”.
As a sport fan , I would say good luck moody. If you can’t cut the usc team, as a team player. so be it
No “I” in “team”…but there is a “me”
